Water Heater Repair in Fort Worth & DFW

No hot water? Tank leaking? Pilot light won't stay lit? Same-day diagnosis Monday–Friday from a Texas-licensed plumbing company that doesn't push you toward a replacement you don't need.

What We Repair

Tank or tankless, gas or electric — we diagnose first, then quote.

A water heater that won't make hot water isn't always a tank that needs replacing. Most of the time it's a single failed component — and replacing a $40 part beats replacing an $1,800 unit. We diagnose the actual failure, give you a clear written quote, and let you decide.

No hot water

Usually a failed heating element (electric) or thermocouple/gas valve (gas). Often a same-visit fix.

Not enough hot water

Sediment buildup, broken dip tube, undersized unit, or one of two elements is out. We figure out which.

Water too hot or too cold

Thermostat replacement or recalibration. Quick fix on most tanks.

Tank is leaking

Could be a fitting, a valve, or the tank itself. The first two we repair. The third means replacement — we'll tell you straight.

Rumbling or popping noise

Sediment cooking on the bottom of the tank. We flush, inspect, and tell you how much life is left.

Pilot light won't stay lit

Thermocouple, gas valve, or flame sensor. Common on tanks 5+ years old.

Discolored or smelly water

Anode rod failure, often paired with sediment. Anode replacement is a cheap fix that buys years.

Tankless error codes

Scaling, ignition, flow sensor, exhaust — we read the codes and quote the repair.

Why Paloma for Water Heater Work

Honest diagnosis. Real quote. Same day.

Repair-first, not replace-first

A lot of plumbers default to "you need a new unit" because new installs are more profitable. We diagnose the actual failure and only recommend replacement when the math actually says replace. If a $50 element fixes it, that's what we'll quote.

41 years under the license

Our work runs under master plumber Brent Jones (Texas RMP-16431), with more than four decades of hands-on experience. There's nothing about a water heater he hasn't seen.

Quote before we work

$99 diagnostic fee (waived when you accept the bid). Written quote in your hand before we lift a wrench. If the scope changes mid-repair, we stop and re-confirm before we keep going. No surprises on the invoice.

What It Costs

$99 diagnostic. Waived when you book the work.

We come out, diagnose the actual problem, and give you a clear written bid. If you book the repair (or replacement), the $99 fee goes away. If you don't, it covers our trip — no obligation, no high-pressure pitch.

Past 40 miles from our Fort Worth shop, the diagnostic fee is $120 (same "waived if booked" policy).

FAQ

Questions we get about water heater repair.

How much does water heater repair cost in Fort Worth?
Most water heater repairs come down to a single failed part — heating element, thermostat, T&P valve, anode rod, gas valve, or thermocouple. We come out, diagnose the actual issue, and give you a written quote for the specific repair before we start. The $99 diagnostic fee is waived when you accept the bid.
Should I repair or replace my water heater?
If your tank is under 8–10 years old and the failure is a single component (element, thermostat, valve), repair is usually the right call. If the tank itself is leaking, corroded, or older than 12 years, replacement is almost always more economical long-term. We'll tell you honestly which makes sense for your unit — repair is sometimes the right answer even when replacement would be more profitable for us.
Do you repair both tank and tankless water heaters?
Yes. We service both traditional tank water heaters (gas and electric) and tankless / on-demand units. Most tankless repairs are around scaling, ignition, sensors, or flow valves — all of which we handle.
How quickly can you get out to my house?
We aim for same-day service Monday through Friday during business hours (8am–5pm). For water heater failures, we treat it as a priority schedule item — being without hot water isn't something we want you waiting on. Call (682) 895-5325 to get on the schedule.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Paloma Plumbing operates under Texas Responsible Master Plumber license RMP-16431, held by master plumber Brent Jones (41+ years of trade experience). We carry general liability and workers' compensation insurance.
