Water Heater Installation in Fort Worth & DFW

New tank or new tankless? We help you pick the right unit for your home, install it to code, and haul the old one away. Honest sizing, no upsell.

About This Service

When your water heater finally gives out — or you've decided to upgrade — getting the right unit installed makes the difference between 12 years of trouble-free hot water and a unit that fails right after the warranty expires. We work with both tank and tankless water heaters from major brands. We don't push you toward the most expensive option; we look at your household size, hot water habits, gas/electric setup, and budget, and recommend what actually fits.

What We Do

Water Heater Installation — what's included.

Tank water heater installation (gas + electric)

Standard 40-, 50-, and 75-gallon tanks from Rheem, Bradford White, AO Smith, and others. We pull permits where required, connect to existing gas/water/electric, and verify pressure and combustion.

Tankless water heater installation

Sizing, install, gas line upgrades if needed, venting, and condensate drainage. We make sure your gas supply can actually handle the BTU load before you commit.

Tank-to-tankless conversion

Bigger project than a straight swap — we walk you through gas line capacity, venting routes, and electrical needs before quoting.

Switching from electric to gas (or vice versa)

Adding a gas line and venting (electric to gas) or upgrading electrical (gas to electric) when fuel type needs to change.

Hauling the old unit away

We don't leave the old tank or tankless unit sitting in your garage. Disposal included in every install quote.

Code compliance and permits

We pull City of Fort Worth (or applicable city) permits when required, and the work meets Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners standards under our RMP-16431 license.

Warranty registration

We register the unit with the manufacturer so the warranty actually applies — a step many installers skip.

Expansion tanks & pressure regulators

Required by code in many DFW municipalities. We install or replace expansion tanks during install if yours needs one.

Why Paloma

What sets us apart on this service.

Bigger isn't better — an oversized water heater costs more to run forever. We size to your household, not to the upsell.

Multiple brands, not one favorite

We install whatever fits your budget and your home — Rheem, Bradford White, AO Smith, Rinnai, Navien, others. No kickback steering.

Warranty done right

Manufacturer warranty registered, expansion tank installed when required, install documented for future claims.

FAQ

Water Heater Installation questions.

Should I get a tank or a tankless water heater?
Tank water heaters cost less upfront and are simpler to install. Tankless units cost more, last longer, and give you unlimited hot water but require larger gas lines and proper sizing. For a family of 2–3 in a typical home, a 50-gallon tank usually makes sense. For larger families, multi-bathroom simultaneous use, or homeowners who plan to stay 15+ years, tankless often pencils out. We'll lay out the numbers honestly during the bid.
How long does installation take?
A straight tank-for-tank swap typically takes 2–4 hours. A tank-to-tankless conversion can be a full day, especially if we need to upgrade the gas line or run new venting. We give you a time estimate as part of the written quote.
Will you pull a permit?
If the City of Fort Worth (or your specific city) requires one for the work, yes — that's part of doing it right. Permitted installs also matter at resale; unpermitted water heater work has caused a lot of homeowners headaches at closing.
How long should my new water heater last?
Quality tank water heaters last 10–13 years on average in Tarrant County water. Tankless units typically last 18–22 years with proper maintenance (annual descaling for hard water). Replace the anode rod every 4–6 years on a tank to extend life.
Are you licensed for this work?
Yes. Paloma Plumbing operates under Texas Responsible Master Plumber license RMP-16431, held by master plumber Brent Jones with 41+ years of trade experience. We're fully insured.
