Gas Line Repair & Installation in Fort Worth

New gas lines for appliances, outdoor kitchens, pool heaters, generators. Gas leak detection & repair. Pressure-tested every job.

About This Service

Gas line work isn't a category for guessing. Improperly sized, leaking, or unpermitted gas lines are a real safety hazard — and a major issue at home sale. We install new gas lines for outdoor kitchens, pool heaters, generators, gas dryers, ranges, and tankless water heaters. We repair leaks. We do everything to Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners code, pull permits where required, and pressure-test every job before turning gas back on.

What We Do

Gas Line Repair & Installation — what's included.

New gas line for outdoor kitchen

Sized for grill BTU demand, with proper shut-offs and outdoor-rated piping.

Gas line for pool heater

Sizing based on heater BTU requirement, routed appropriately, code-compliant.

Gas line for generator

Standby generator installs need dedicated, properly-sized gas supply.

Tankless water heater gas line upgrade

Older homes often have ½" gas lines that can't support tankless BTU demand. We upgrade to ¾" or 1" as needed.

Gas appliance installation

Range, dryer, water heater connections — flexible connector, shut-off valve, leak test before use.

Gas leak detection & repair

Electronic detection paired with soap testing. Repair or replace leaking sections.

Black iron pipe repair

Older Fort Worth homes have black iron gas lines — sometimes corroding at fittings. We repair or replace sections as needed.

CSST (corrugated stainless steel tubing) work

Modern flexible gas piping — we install and repair CSST systems properly grounded and bonded.

Why Paloma

What sets us apart on this service.

Licensed for gas work

Texas RMP-16431 includes gas line work. We're certified to do it; many "handyman" services aren't.

Pressure-tested every time

Before we turn gas back on, every line gets a pressure test. No exceptions. This is how we know there's no leak before you smell one.

Permits pulled when required

Many DFW cities require permits for gas line work. We handle it. Unpermitted gas work is a recurring issue at home sale.

Honest Pricing

$99 diagnostic. Waived when you book the work.

We come out, diagnose the actual problem, and give you a clear written bid before any work starts. If you accept the bid, the $99 fee goes away. If you don't, it covers our trip — no obligation, no high-pressure pitch.

Past 40 miles from our Fort Worth shop, the diagnostic fee is $120 (same "waived if booked" policy).

FAQ

Gas Line Repair & Installation questions.

I smell gas. What should I do?
Leave the house immediately — don't flip light switches or use electronics, don't start your car in the attached garage. Once outside, call your gas utility (Atmos in most of DFW: 1-866-322-8667). They'll come confirm and shut off the meter. Then call us for the leak repair.
How do you find a gas leak?
Electronic gas detectors (sniff out methane) plus soapy water on suspect joints (bubbles = leak). For larger systems, pressure testing isolates which section is leaking.
Do I need a permit for a gas line?
Most DFW cities require a permit for any new gas line and major modifications. We pull it as part of the job. Repairs to existing lines often don't require a permit but the work still has to meet code.
Can my existing gas line support a new appliance?
Depends on pipe size, distance from the meter, and what else is on the same line. We calculate the load before quoting. Adding a tankless water heater, generator, or pool heater frequently requires upgrading the supply line.
Are you licensed for gas work?
Yes. Paloma Plumbing operates under Texas Responsible Master Plumber license RMP-16431, held by master plumber Brent Jones with 41+ years of trade experience. Gas work is included in the RMP scope.
