Licensed master plumber for the gas-line side of fireplace work — leaks, gas valves, supply lines, new installs, and natural-gas-to-propane conversions. Pressure-tested before we leave.

About This Service
Most gas fireplace problems Fort Worth homeowners run into come down to the gas supply: a slow leak at a joint, a failing gas valve, a supply line that's the wrong size for a new appliance, or a corroded fitting on an older black-iron line. That's the work we do — under Texas RMP license, pressure-tested, and to code.
We also install new gas lines for fireplaces in homes that don't have one today — sizing the supply for the unit's BTU demand, routing the line, installing the shut-off, and pulling permits where the city requires them.
If the issue is on the appliance side — electronic ignition, control board, thermocouple inside the firebox — that's usually a fireplace specialist's job, not a plumber's. We'll diagnose the gas side honestly and tell you which side the problem is on before we quote.
What We Do
Electronic detection paired with soap testing and full pressure test. Repair or replace leaking sections.
Stuck, corroded, or unsafe shut-off valves on the fireplace supply — swapped out with code-compliant parts.
Sized for the unit's BTU demand, routed from the meter or branch line, with proper shut-off and permits when required.
Older homes often have undersized supply lines. We upgrade ½" to ¾" or 1" as needed for a new or higher-BTU fireplace.
Switching fuel sources requires the right orifice and supply pressure. We handle the gas side of the conversion.
Older Fort Worth homes use black iron — newer ones use CSST. We work with both, including proper grounding and bonding for CSST.
Removing or retiring a fireplace? We cap the supply safely and to code, with a pressure test to confirm.
Failed inspection on a gas fireplace? We diagnose the cited issue, fix it, and pressure-test for a re-inspection.
Most DFW cities require permits for new gas work. We pull them and meet inspection — no unpermitted shortcuts.
Why Paloma
Texas RMP-16431 covers gas piping. Many "handyman" services aren't licensed for this — and unpermitted gas work shows up at home sale.
Brent Jones, our master plumber, has more than four decades in DFW plumbing — including the older Fort Worth homes where most gas-line surprises live.
Before we turn gas back on, every line gets a pressure test. No exceptions. That's how we know there's no leak before you smell one.

Honest Pricing
We come out, diagnose the actual problem, and give you a written bid before any work starts. If you accept the bid, the $99 fee goes away. If you don't, it covers our trip — no obligation, no high-pressure pitch.
Past 40 miles from our Fort Worth shop, the diagnostic fee is $120 (same "waived if booked" policy).
